You may be here because…
You are interested in shifting your perspective and are curious about the dynamics in your life.
You’re a couple interested in healing your relationship and strengthening your partnership.
You would like to dig deeper, to connect with your authentic and whole-hearted self.
You’re a therapist looking for support, guidance, training or supervision.
I’m Lauren
For the past 15 years I have had the privilege of working with a diverse group of folks - individuals, couples, and other therapists - to support their movement toward authentically and holistically engaging in their lives.
I approach therapy with the beliefs that:
It is essential to tune into the body and listen to the messages and wisdom you already have inside.
You have the innate capacity to heal. You aid in that healing process by connecting with joy and the strength that you already have inside.
You move through patterns and cycles in your life which reveal both your survival and struggle. With warmth, I will greet your stories with compassion and challenge you to reconnect with cut off parts of your self and your experience.
About Me
I take delight in expanding my skills as a professional and am trained in several therapeutic modalities that integrate cutting edge neuroscience, trauma theory and psychotherapy. I am trained in Somatic Experiencing, PACT (psychobiological approach to couples therapy) and NARM (neuro affective relational model) to name a few.
What I Do
My job is to help you slow down and to take stock of what is happening around you and within you. It is only when you are oriented to your internal and external landscape that you can understand the entanglements of your life, enabling you to engage with these dynamics with choice and a whole heart.
I will
Be honest and genuine
Honour and respect you with all your perfect contradictions
Use my skills and experience to foster your ability to reconnect with who you are meant to be
Remind you that your scars as signs of survival, your tears a reflection of your strength, and that you are more than the sum of what has happened to you or the labels others may have placed on you
I am nonpathologizing and collabourative in my approach and use both acceptance and gentle confrontation in my work
